Amazon's Horrific User Experience

Bad UX is bad UX. Amazon, despite its nearly infinite resources and bottomless human capital, has never reconsidered how painful its user experience is.

Amazon website interface showing a crowded product listing and navigation bar with multiple images, prices, ratings, and buttons; primary subject is the Amazon web page displaying products and purchase controls; the page is busy with sidebars and promotions in a dense layout; visible text includes the site name Amazon and product titles; overall tone feels cluttered and overwhelming

I sincerely feel badly for the UX/UI team. They must know how horrific their web platform experience is, and yet nothing is done to fix it. Personally, I don’t want to feel like I’m operating a F-35A fighter jet whilst trying to order some stationary.

Consumers should demand better. But how can they when they have no basis for what to demand?
